Error starting Active Sync - Source adapter management is initializing.

Hi, I'm trying to run active sync on a database table. But the AS is not starting bcoz of the error

Error starting #ID#F0ED2A6D7FB07688:1522DE2:1128678678B:-7EAC.Source adapter management is initializing.

I checked in All tasks, and the Source Adapter task is not running. I also tried bouncing the App server, still the error persists.

I also tried running the SourceAdapterTemplate from ScheduleTasks. Still the AS does not run.

Can any one help me how to Initialize the source adapter task?

Thanks! Harini.

Hi,

as u mention that u have check the in all task and the Source Adapter task is not running.

so check the server setting.

go to configure-->servers tab and check ur server status is active or not.

if isn't then click on "Edit default server setting" button and see "Scheduler Startup" is Autometic under Scheduler tab.

try this and let me now if it works.

Thanx

Shant

Hi

I did check the server settings. It is Automatic. I dont understand why all active syncs stopped suddenly. I did a restart also. It does'nt work. Some one posted the same query in the past and the reply was to export the resources, delete the ID and import again. I tried that too. No use.

Regards,

Harini.

I had the same problem. I did a transfer of file definitions from my local server to a development server and after doing that everything seemed to work except the resources active sync.

I came accross this thread and noticed that the server in my development server became inactive although all the definitions seemed to be ok. So I exported the server object, changed the inactive to active, and imported it back again. Went back to the server definitions and defined them all back again, and last thing I did was to restart the Apache, and it worked. Now the resources active sync are running again, so maybe try to do what I did.

I also removed the ID of the server object before importing again, but I doubt that it did anything to help.
