Async web service calls from eInsight or JCD?

Is it possible to perform (or produce for that matter) Asynchronous Web Services in Java CAPS. Could be called from eInsight BP or from a JCD. From my experiments and what I can tell this is just not supported in Java CAPS. Can someone please confirm or correct me with explanation?

It was certainly possible in 5.1.1 - I did not check in 5.1.3 but I don't see a reason why this capability would disappear. Please let me have your email address, to michael DOT czapski AT sun DOT com, and I will send you an extract from teh Java CAPS book that discusses this topic, with examples.

Can you check with support for the appropriate hotfix ?

CAPS 512 supports Request-Reply by default and not one directional Web Services, if that is what you're referring to, and this has been fixed. At least in the situation of an eInsight BPEL process being triggered by an external app.

Likely it is in 513, but maybe not depending on the date of the code freeze.
