Ultra 10 - invalid system frequency

Hi all,

I am encountering some hardware problems with an Ultra 10 workstation and just wanted to see if anyone has had the same problem or can confirm my suspicions.

The system boots fine, but shortly after will crash to the ok prompt. When the boot command is issued, the system goes down and doesn't come back up. Power off/on does nothing at this point - black screen... however if I turn the power off and let it sit for a while, it will boot back up once powered on. Today the system froze on boot, but had a warning message appear this time:

WARNING: Invalid System Frequency

I'm thinking its a bad processor, but I haven't found much on this. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi,I think it can be the BIOS ie the nvramPress the STOP key while powering up the system.Try will reset / restart the bios process.Careful to take down all your setting as this might reset all your bios settig to defaultBest of luck.rgds
