Questions on ASP4.0.3 , released date, support WS7.0?
From http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5108542&messageID=9369458,

A1. Try http://www.sun.com/software/chilisoft/datasheet.xml.
It requires Sun Java System Web Server 6.0 SP5 or higher, bear in mind that means it was developed for V6.0. By the looks of things as with all things Sun its been renamed too!
it doesn't support the latest versions of linux either or apache.
A2. 4.0.3 was supposed to be out late 2006, then 1st qtr 2007, now it looks pretty dead in the water. Last I heard was sultal trying to encourage us all to buy support.
So it sounds like a money/staff investment issue IMHO. Pity.

Ok folks, here is the latest...
We do have some staff investment issue, but that is mainly due to the fact that ASP Server doesn't bring any significant revenue.
The other side of the story is ASP technology(being great I believe!) is being abandoned by its creator Microsoft and getting old and not too popular these days.:(
We are probably going to release 4.0.3, but it would most probably include only bug fixes escalated through support channels by ASP Server cus. It is yet unknown/doubtful that new functionality/features will be added to this release.
Speaking of me encouraging to buy support, if I remember well I was encouraging contacting Sun support channels with a request to release a new version of ASP Server. If they see some significant demand the decision might be taken to add mysql5, Sun webserver 7 and apache 2.2 support.
Last, but not least there is a way to make asp 4.0.2 work with Sun webserver 7 via some manual install(I haven't tested it on all platfroms yet, so I can't yet recommend it now).
I might have some time in the next 2 weeks to test manual install steps for webserver7. Once I finish testing it, I'll publish the results.

Hi Sultal,
Thanks for the update it is appreciated.
Re revenue as I mentioned before I'd be happy to pay for support if it is available or buy an upgrade if I know there is going to be a 4.0.3 with the latest versions of mysql, apache and linux supported.
There seems to be plenty of people still using the product and even installing V3 judging by the number of people asking for it recently.
ASP is a good product, easy to learn and use and works well, in my view the sun version is better than microsoft's offering. For those people who need a reliable solution and don't need all the bells and whistles of .net its great.
I'd hate to see it die, apart from anything else we would probably have to rewrite in php which would be a big shame.
