Fiber Channel configuration

Hi,

i kind of new with the SUN environment, but still this past few weeks i got my all over my hands with problems that i could find the solution over some forums or other sources.

But here is one that i can't find any solution, so if anybody could give me a hint on this, that would be great.

I have one StorEdge A5000 14 slot connected with a Enterprise 4500 server. Solaris 5.10 installed.

The problem is the HBA connectivity.

I explain:

StroEdge configuration, is single loop, i'm using the two server fiber adapters to provide dual path to the disks using the A1 and B0 GBIC.

On PROM, a probe-fcal-all command will display me all drivers on two different path, first and second adapter.

While i'm on solaris
luxadm display SUN01A

So now i was trying to define the failover path using mpathadm command as documented on the 'Solaris Fiber Channel and Storage Multipathing Administration Guide' but

# mpathlistlu command show no lines

so i looked further to find out what is happening and i found some other documents talking about the Dynamic Configuration and the cfgadm command

so here is the output of cfgadm
# cfgadm

no what i don't understand, is where are my c1 and c2 fibers ?

i tryed the cfgadm with configure subcommand using the StorEdge WWN but no luck
# cfgadm configure WWN:508002000006ad50

Ap_Id Type ReceptacleOccupantCondition

configure : No matching library found

WWN:508002000006ad50 : No matching library found
i'm taking any suggestions.

Thanks

PS: i tryed everything to format corectly this message, the code tags are no use ... i'm sorry for this inconvenient

is this still a problem or under troubleshooting? :--)what/where is the real problem? :--) did you fix this already?

The problem is about configuring multipahing.

But i configured the system diferently now, using split loops and raid configuration between front and rear disks.

What i was talking about was:

mpathadm doesn t see the HBA paths. I was able to see the disks on both controllers while using format command but unable to define multipahing so ...

Anyway, now i'm using diferent configuration and don't need to configure multipathing anymore ... for now ^^

thanks
