PS0, PS1, PS2, PS3 Have Failed. Server is still up

I am seeing the following logs on all 5 of my servers, indicating that all 4 power supplies have failed. However, the server is still running, and can successfully power up from a full shutdown.

Is there a known issue here? or is something actually wrong with all 5 of my servers?

You don't say what kind of hardware you have, but remember the fault LED will stay on until the ALOM is rest, on may types of hardware.Need more info:What kinf od hardware? Do the errors repeat every mionutes? Is there a recovery? Are the services LEDs on on the PSU?

These servers are v440z running Solaris 8. The errors are repeating every 5 minutes for each PSU, and there is a service LED on the PSU. Although I find it surprising that this is happeneing on all 5 servers.

The issue only came up when after powering down all servers, and powering them back up again. So will resetting the ALOM actually help? And how do I reset the ALOM without rebooting the OS?

Not familiar with the V440z, but on a V440 the command would be:

/usr/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-V440/sbin/scadm resetrsc

Also, make sure the ALOM is upgraded to 1.5.5 or able.

If that doens't take care of it, and it's happening on all 5 hosts, you might actually take a took at the reliability of your AC power.
