How can I monitor a sc3.1U4 cluster via snmp?

Environment:

2 node, failover cluster running SC3.1u4 on Solaris 9

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can monitor my cluster via snmp without having to use SMC?

RIght now, we have the sun-cluster-mib.mib loaded into a mib browser. We cannont get snmp to respond at all.

Is there a way to get this to work without having to go through a SMC server?

Thanks,

George

Have a look at a past thread in this forum:

http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5076068&tstart=60

The fourth message in there is from me an also refers to SC 3.1. So my understanding is you will need the Sun Cluster SunMC module - but you do not require a full SunMC server (although this will work as well) in order to get the snmp information with it.

Note that I never setup this myself, so you need to read the docs I pointed to.

Greets
