420R as DHCP client?

Hello all,

I would like to upgrade the OS on an old 420R running Solaris 7 11/99 using a network installation server I set up. I need to boot it as a DHCP client to install a new OS over the network. When I tried to "boot net:dhcp - nowin" as I have with other servers, it does not boot and request DHCP discovery. Instead, it just issues ARP/RARP packets as though I'd entered "boot net". The OBP version is 3.23.0 with POST 1.2.7. I did a snoop on the DHCP server to verify that it's not attempting the DHCP discovery.

Is there a way to get this 420R to boot as a DHCP client for the installation?

Thanks,

Tim

Update: I may have answered my own question - I have located references to patch 109082 to update OBP to a version that supports boot net:dhcp but it looks like sunsolve is down right now so I can't confirm that is the solution yet.Regards,Tim
