Server crashed after JAVA update!

Hi,

my WIN 2003 server died on the 18th of april 2007 after he received the automatic JAVA update (1.6....?). I was asked to reboot the server to finish JAVA installation but the server only went down. From that moment I wasn't able to boot the server again.

I now have access to my harddisk via a recovery console and need to know urgently how I can remove this last update to get my server running again.

Here in Germany there are some hundred (!) servers who have the same problem! Please hlep me getting rid of that update! Thanks very much!

I don't think it is Java's fault. I have a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise running at my apartment. I keep Java up to date. It's never caused a problem with the actual operating system. I've always been able to boot up completely.
