How to delete a jdk1.6.0_01 folder on linux desktop?

Hi,

I installed jdk 1.6 on Suse 10.2.. But when i tried to install the netbeans ide 5.5 it didn't recognized the jdk!! so i downloaded the jdk1.6 in which was included the netbeans ide.. but then when i finished installing the netbeans i noticed that the previous instalation was made in the desktop!! While the jdk and the netbeans are installed and working.. so, i tried to delete the folder of the desktop, but i can't!! it displays a message showing the following:

Access Denied

to home/myUsername/.local/share/Trash/files/jdk1.6.0_01..

Please, can anyone help me with this? i am new at Suse!
