Java Desktop System

Hello,

I am very new to Sun OS. I have a server that has Sun OS 5.10 on it. I have read on the Sun wesbsite that the Java Desktop comes with this OS. Is there a way to find out if I have it, and how might I launch it if I do? Currently I have only one user on this system, which is root. I would love to begin using some of the GUI features that I saw associated with JDS.

Thanks,

I assume that if you open a command window and type java -version that you will receive some data confirming that Java is installed.

However, that is just a guess. If it doesn't do that, then I refer you to this page, where you can probably find the information you are looking for.
