msuserpurge seg fault

Hi,

I am trying to set up housekeeping scripts to tidy up my system but the msuserpurge tool is seg faulting when I try and run it:

/opt/SUNWmsgsr/lib/msuserpurge -d domain.com -v -g 90

Grace period: 90 days

Purge users deleted before: 20070126152709Z

Segmentation Fault

I can't find any output to this seg fault to find out what it is trying to do. Can you provide some pointers about which logs to look in and where I can get more information on the problem.

Thanks

Josh

In fact, found the error.I had some users on the system (test users) that had not yet received any mail or logged in, and hence did not have mailboxes to purge. The tool obviously does not like this but it won't be a problem on a live system.Josh

This sounds familiar.I'd say, it's a bug.I vaguely remember reading it in one of the patch buglists. Since we don't know what version you're running, I can't say if it's a patch you can dlownload. . .

Hi,Also if you could provide a stack track (pstack) of the core file generated (you have coreadm set up right?) by the segmentation fault that would also help ... and the version you are running as Jay noted.Cheers,Shane.
