imq error codes

Hello all

I am having trouble running imq. If i am logged in as root and run /etc/init.d/mq start, i get this:

Starting imqbrokerd: imqbrokerd startup [OK]

but i am immediately returned to a non-root shell. and also, imq is not running.

/etc/init.d/mq status

imqbrokerd is not running

I have seen two error codes in my log files, one is error code 137, the other is error code -9.

What do these error codes mean?
