Couldnot create folder

Hi,

In my machine(Linux) IMAP is running always. I have a guest mailbox under /var/spool/mail/guest which contains 7 mails. I have created a mail account in KMail client for thtat guest mailbox with IMAP protocol. And from the KMail client i tried to create a folder. But it says "Creating folder failed"

what is the problem?.

If i create a folder for an account how and where i can see that related file in the machine?

This isn't a JavaMail question, and I know nothing about KMail, but...

Most likely you have to tell KMail what path or prefix to use for the

folders. The IMAP server is probably creating the folders in the

guest user's home directory, or possibly in the root directory, by

default, and the guest user probably doesn't have permission to

create files there. So first, make sure the guest user has a home

directory that it can write into. If that doesn't help, try to configure

KMail to tell it where to create mail folders.
