Installation
Would it be possible to Install DS5.2 sp 4 remotely through the Silent installation?IF so how can we do that?
or else is it must to be on the Server when Installing the DS?because i hve to install DS on some boxes where we cannot log onto the boxes..
My OS is AIX 5.3 and DS version is 5.2 sp 4...Any help on this is appreciated...

Hi,Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to run the silent installation process remotely without logging on to the relevant server.Do you have any problems running on AIX5.3? I know that DS5.2p4 is only certified by SUN up to AIX5.2.Thanks,Mark.

No, I have to Install the DS5.2 on some production boxes and we are not allowed to install by logging onto the box....So i wanted to know about the remote installation...
Anyway would it be possible to install the DS using a script.....The script does the follwoing work
1)FTP the compressive file and the installationfile on to the Server
2)then install it through a shell script....
becaus even this works...it would server my purpose...
