"Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java"
My newer XP, IE7, serv. pack2 computer brings up "Sorry, your browser doesn't support Java" on my WWW site at my provider. I can bring up java programs from other sites on this computer. I have removed and reloaded IE7 without solving to the problem. I have also removed and reloaded the latest version, Java Platform, Standard Edition 6.
My older, networked Windows 95,IE5.5 computer works fine with the same Java coding.
Can anyone disgnose my problem on my newer computer? I seem to have had the problem since I went from IE6 to Ie7 on my newer computer.

There are two possible causes:
1) Java disabled for IE in Control Panel settings. To check:
Navigate to (lower left desktop corner)
Start -> Settings ->Control Panel -> Java
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Expand Default Java for browsers
See if Microsoft Internet Explorer is checked. If it's not, check it.
2) Your Internet Explorer does not have java activated. To check:
In the Internet Explorer window, navigate from menu to:
Tools -> Internet Options... then click on the tab named "Advanced". Here you have to find a section named "Java (Sun)". Below it, you should see a checkbox ("Use JRE...for <applet> (requires restart)"). This checkbox must be activated if you want to solve the problem.
