Help Me out!!

i juz ran pages about ActiveMQ, but im unable to focus my requirement. All that i need to know is that, How can ActiveMQ/IBM MQ support me to deal my task.
my Prob:
i have to develop an Utility tool that helps the end users with the active and inative queues present in the server. i need to bring this task out using ActiveMQ / IBM MQ. How am i to use ActiveMQ / IBM MQ to accomplish my task ( i do agree that ActveMQ / IBM MQ is a Message Broker but as i am a starter i can no way figure out what im intended to do ). right now iam with a part of process completed regarding database, all that i need to do is to retrieve details from server and validate with the database and report the output in form of an excel sheet. Do favour me Frdz... do describe me what should and how should i proceed. do teach me how shloud i step ahead to entertain my task.
im sorry frdz.. i do accept that i cannot figure my problem clearly but plz question me so that i can get clearer results! Awaiting for your guidance and ideas.!
