Not getting Desktop

Hi all,

we have installed sunray 3.1 server on sunfire v215 and configured it . DTU's are sunray client 270. I am not able to get a Desktop or logon page. They come up and get an address that is being dhcp'd by the sunray server, connect to the server. When i insert my smartcard i get a hourglass and do not get a logon screen. But i can see the user logged in the sunray server userlist on the sunray server console

Can anybody help please.

Do i need to add a local user to the sunray server?. Or can i add the user from the sunray server administration console.

Can anybody please help me in the problem.

This setup is a new installation.

Thanks and regards,

Daniel

If you reboot the server, with the smartcard still in the SunRay, do you get a login screen on the SunRay after the server comes back up?

With your card in the DTU, can your press the Ctl-Moon key combination. please. Aferwards, you will see several OSD screens. At the point where yours "hangs" can you please note the Number and letter in the bottom right of the OSD.This will be something like 22B, 26D, etc.

I don't understand your comment "yes, its still the same". Does that mean "yes, I get a login screen if the smartcard is in the slot" or does it mean "it's the same problem and I don't get a login screen"?

There's a known issue with Solaris installed in "secure mode" that results in SunRay sessions ONLY getting published to SunRays during boot. So, putting in a card where one was not during boot, or plugging in another SunRay results in no login screen...

No its not working. i tried rebooting with the smart card.

I would like to know if the OS has to be reinstalled completly from the scrach. Because i have installed the Sunray 3.1 server on a preinstalled OS which came with the sunfire v215 server the release is "Solaris 10 6/06 s10s_u2wos_09a".

Thanks and regards,

Daniel
