Not Possible to Login
Upon my initial boot into Solaris 10, it asks for my login credentials before I even have a chance to create an account. I've tried logging in as root, to no avail. I know there must be a simple explanation to this, but I can't for the life of me figure it out. Is an account already assigned to me?

If you're at work, you'll probably find that there's a jumpstart
server somewhere in the building that silently answered all the
'sysidcfg' questions over the network while you installed.
sysidcfg: root password, timezone, timeserver, nameservice,
and so on.
The trick is finding the (administrator of) the jumpstart server
in order to find the root password it assigned you.
If you're at home, I have no idea. It was you that installed
Solaris, wasn't it?
cheers.
