Install Troubles
I hate to sound like a newbie, but I am one when it comes to Solaris. I'm having some difficulty installing. I can get to the point where it copies the files to the swap partition that it makes and asks me to reboot. Once I reboot, I load the Active (#1) partition, and it takes me to the setup again. It starts X and and the video drivers are loaded because everything becomes smooth and good-looking, and then it just freezes right there. I've retried many times with no luck. Any ideas?
Thanks!

don't worry. when does the setup hangs ?
(does it hangs or complete succesfully ?)
what are your steps when installing, it would be
useful to understand when exactly your installation ends,
as well as the type of server and wich os release
you're trying to install. by general means, if the setup
is complete, you should arrive to a login prompt
with no other messages. Id suggest to try to complete
it first from the console port only, we'll take car of X after.

Well, I'm just trying to install the x86 version of solaris 9. I just downloaded the isos the other day. It in no way completes the setup. It gets to the point where it copies the install files to the swap slice it makes, and then it asks to reboot. When I reboot, it boots up into the setup again from the swap partition, and then it starts X. Nothing comes up on the screen before it freezes and I can't move my mouse or press anything on the keyboard.

maybe there's some issue with the video card.
Did you check for compatibilities ? Can you send
a break before the systems comes up and then
init in a single user mode ?
