Software 5 will not leave me alone!
Installed Solaris 10 on a pc I had lying around. The Software 5 install box came up. I clicked skip, and told me to reboot. Well clicking the reboot button does nothing at all. So I opened Terminal, and typed reboot. After Solaris loads up, the software 5 install thing comes back. How do I get rid of it? No matter how many times I click the reboot now button, it goes nowhere. And rebooting from Terminal does nothing.

i just decided to reinstall, and i did not install the extra software package. problem solved.
now the issue is setting up an internet connection with just Solaris installed. windows is not installed on this pc. typing the ip in the address bar does not work, and as suggested in another thread, look in the file /etc/defaultrouter. however such a file does not exist.
suggestions? i looked through the steps given from another member, however during installation i was never given any network options.
this is on the Java desktop
