IE browser crashes due to Java per MS
I posted a week or so ago (Java closes IE7) and have recieved no replies. When trying to open a oracle program using applets, my browser crashs. MS error stats IE encounter a error and needs to close. A 2nd pop-up states Java is the cause. I have search the net and have found nothing about this. I will provided any information needed in helping to come up with a fix.
any help would be great.
Thanks

Check out your Path environment variable. I've seen that Oracle places it's own jre version pointer at the beginning of the Path, and that causes all sort of extrange behaviours. If you see that is the case, just move the oracle variable to the end.

I thought it was something with Oracle also. But Oracle seems to be fine, as there are several other using the same program that use everything from IE7 XP SP2 to IE6 XP SP1 and no problems. 1 person got a java vm error with ie7 and went back to ie6 and it worked. I triued that and srill get the same error. I can open a eariler version of the oracle program no problem. I installed and uninstalled java multiple times. Still no luck.

I came across this issue today, I got a call from a user stating that oracle kept crashing. Upon looking at the issue i found that the error was caused by User32.dll with the EventID 1000. This error was caused because the user had the Windows Live Toolbar installed. After removing the toolbar this error stopped occuring and oracle/IE stopped crashing. Try Uninstalling Windows Live Toolbar/MSN Toolbar and restart the computer.
