What need to do to get start a new project ?
How to get start a new project based on OpenSPARC T1?
For example, if we want to develope a new commercial embedded processor with selectively clipping T1's scheme and supplementing some other functions, what is the operating procedure?
Are we requied to sign an agreement with Sun Corp. or pay for the use of code before our work?
What's our obligation besides openning relative modification under GPL? Is there any limitations when we tape it out for sale?

OpenSPARC T1 is distributed under a pure GPL license. You can download it, use it, do anything you want with it. You only have to register for the download; you don't have to tell Sun anything else about what you're doing. It really is free! -- you don't owe license fees or royalties. You just have to make the source of the changes available under the usual GPL terms.
Sun is delighted to see OpenSPARC T1 used in any way -- the more creative, the better!
