User provisioning JES comm suite/msg 6.3
Folks,
I have a question regarding user provisioning via DA within the JES 5 Comm suite.
I might be missing something obvious but when a mail enabled group is setup within DA and toggled to allow users to "join" where (in what method/interface) do users subscribe ? Logically there should be a method within the UWC interface but it alludes me. Perhaps there is a config setting that makes this available within UWC? or does DA have to be configured for the individual user to login and manage their own entry, eg in this case subscribe to a mail group.
What have I missed?

There isn't anywhere to "join" within the provided interfaces. Thus is the disconnect between the DA (new) interface and the iDA (old) interface which provided an end-user method of joining lists. Unfortunately iDA needs schema 1 whereas DA needs schema 2.

You haven't missed anything.. Please raise this issue with your sun account rep.. specifically point to RFE #6274327 -> "ordinary user manages dynamic mail list/mail list/mail delivery through CommExp" (this goes for other forum readers as well!!)
My powers of persuasion within Sun is limited.. customer demand has much more impact in getting tools such as these written.
Most customers get around this issue by either writing their own interface to maintain the lists OR they have delegates use the DA interface to manually add users. End-user self-subscribe isn't possible with the available web-interfaces.
Thanks,
Shane.
