uwc address book problems (groups)

I downloaded and installed communications suite 5. As I was playing around with it (trying to get a better handle on the changes from what we have today), I discovered an oddity with the address book and groups in the "cooperate directory". I wonder if anyone else has noticed this as well as if anyone knows of any patches for commsuite 5.

Details:

when I expend a group from from the cooperate directory, the members do not appear (though they do appear in a group I manually assemble in my personal address book). The little icon simply just changes directions no matter if members appear when the group name is clicked on or not.

Another oddity is that if people are associated with groups (in the directory) via "mgrpRFC822MailMember" attributes, they also do not show up as members of the group (when the group name is clicked on). Though, members which are associated via "uniqueMember" do appear in the member list.

This is a schema 1 directory which works well with our. I am unsure if these are incompatibilities with schema 1 vs schema 2 or if these are bugs in the product. Anyone have any insight?

(hopefully that all made sense)

Excuse the ignorance. I assume a "CR" is a bug report? How would I go about reading the bug report?I have not done any patching (I can't find any patches for Comm suite 5). It is possible we are at the same patch level?thanks

Hi,

Correct. As for reading the bug report itself I don't think you can read this from outside of Sun. I read through it myself and it definitely reads as the same issue, in this case though it affects 6.2 and is fixed in the next point releases:

125813-01 (messaging server)

125819-01 (uwc)

I recommend if you have a support contract that you log a support case via http://www.sun.com/service/online/ That way when the patches for 6.3 come out you will get them first.

There aren't any patches yet available - so if you are running the GA release (and there is no reason to think you are not, then chances are you are running the same patch level).

Shane.
