How to set user mailMessageStore from Delegated Admin?
I having problem on setting above attributes for new user under Delegated Admin (2005Q4) Web Console. My client request this to be done it from Web Console, so commadmin command line and ldap administration console is out of my choice. Any idea on customizing Delegated Admin to cater this job?

You are not the first customer to ask for this. I recommend you log a support case and get yourself added as a customer to the following RFE (request for enhancement):
RFE #6277844 : Ability for DA to set mailstore partition

Supposedly this RFE has already been implemented in the next patch release (DA 6.4p1). This means it won't be available for at least a few months (not sure with 6.4p1 is scheduled for release as yet).

Shane.

thanks for the information, also another request on setting user mail host. This is due to my archictecture involve more than 1 mail host at backend, so some of the user may need to point to other mail host which is also not allowed under DA for now. Any idea on this?

Not to contradict Shane, but I believe we do have a t-patch for DA that includes the ability to set user's mail host. You will need to contact Tech Support and request. Nope.
119777-19 is released. Includes what you want. You can get it, as it's been released to the general user community.
119777-19 also includes a fix for performance issues caused by having a large user-entry in ldap.

Well to be fair, I was just saying it will be available in a future release (based on bug notes).. didn't check to see if it had been back-ported :)

Good catch...
from 119777-14:
6348252 Delegated Administrator - Add ability to assign mailstores (different from default) to new accounts
from 119777-18 :
6277844 RFE: Ability for DA to set mailstore partition
> 119777-19 also includes a fix for performance issues

6524628 Create User : search is done on all users which times out and causes huge delay.

thanks for the help guys... now i can see the mailstore settings under da.... but i still can't figure out the way to insert user mail host during creating new user, how can this be done as calendar is allow us to key in the calendar host but not messaging...(this is due to i'm having 2 message store at backend)

If DA doesn't show them to you on creation, then you're kind of stuck. At least you can change it in DA.You can also use commadmin, the command line tool to create the accounts exactly as you want them.commadmin user create

my client prefer it to be web based, so i guess i can only provision user through DA Web Console....

Well, you can open a support case, and request this feature be added to DA.
