imsrestore to mailbox format?

Is there any way to take an imsbackup files and restore them to a Unix mailbox format?

Or some other generic mailbox format that is readable by Thunderbird or Outlook off an NTFS formmated hard drive?

I have to provide 30 days of backups, of a single account, to a law firm in some format they can view that does not require them to have access to SJMS.

My imsimta version is:

Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2-4.03 (built Sep 22 2005)

libimta.so 6.2-4.03 (built 04:37:42, Sep 22 2005)

SunOS ims-a 5.9 Generic_118558-39 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R

Thanks for any suggestions.

Why not just restore the imsbackup file to a temporary account (make sure you use a mapping file so the emails are restored to a different UID) and then use imexport to export the temporary account into MBOX format?

Outlook doesn't understand mbox btw. Outlook Express may -- but thats another story.
