devfsadm doesn't seem to be working

I have a Netra 240 with Sol 10; kernel patch 118558-38. The system is connected to a fabric and has Symmetric disks already assigned and in use. We are using native Sol 10 drivers, cards are sun branded Emulex. I added another disk from the Sym yesterday. The new disk does not show up in format, even though devfsadmd was running. Running devfsadm manually did nothing. Killed devfsadmd and ran devfsadm manually, nothing. Restarted devfsadmd; yet again, nothing. This is the 2nd time I've seen this behavior, I'm confident if I restart the box the new disk will appear.

Any ideas?
