SPE and MetaView

I noticed SPE was not in the list of Enabled Applications in MetaView. Does this mean MetaView is not applicable to anything I configure for SPE?

For example, if I tell SPE to provision to downstream resources OR take input via SPESync from sources, do my attrib mappings in MetaView not apply? Do I have to then just stick to Load Forms, etc?
