Licence issue regarding Doug Leas classes

Hello,

Doug Lea has a non-transferable right to create derivative works from Sun. He may sub-license his modifications but may not transfer the right to create modifications.

Although he released his code into the "public-domain" he cannot give the right to make modifications on his code.

Does this mean, that all derived work is a license breach? Is there an official statement from Sun on that point?

Cheers,

Elmar

Try contacting Doug directly and asking him. You won't get any official word from Sun on a legal matter in a forum.
