help for begginers needed
Hi all !
I'm thinking about using java card technology for my final year project @ univeristy. I've been reading this forum for a couple of hours but I can't find the answer to a few simple questions:
1. Is the JCOP the best choice for java cards? I mean with card/reader availability, price and support on this forum.
2. Is there any similar tool for netbeans?
3. Is it possible to use JCOP with Eclipse 3.2 as I get the error "JCOP Tools (3.1.2) operating system doesn't match current environment!"
Thanks in advance for all responses!!!! :)
Have a nice day or night wherever you are!!!

In my opinion it is easy start with JCOP and Eclipse because there is everything necessary in one place - just one working set, but it (I mean) JCOP really consists of several SDK's.
When I started developing java card applications the main problem was to understand how different standards and specifications work together, which one and when to use. And in JCOP you have everything in one place (I hope so, as I did not use it, just looked in what it contains).
I use Eclipse, EclipseME and SDK's from java (WTK with SATSA, JCTK, JDK) and OCF and now it works well together. Maybe I wasted some time to read more specs but I think that I now understand the system in the hole much better .
So it's your choice.
Besides now I answer some of the questions reagarding JCOP because it consists of the same tools - the difference is that they were gathered buy IBM.
