Sun Update Connection-System / Hosted, Patch Manager & PatchPro Forum - Patch 112233-12 problems
Hi, I have a Solaris 9 machine that is not allowing me to add
patch 112233.12. When I use patchadd, I get the message:
Checking installed patches...
Re-installing patch 112233-12...
One or more patch packages included in
112233-12 are not installed on this system.
My system config is:
Solaris 9 4/04 s9s_u6wos_08a SPARC
CLUSTER=SUNWCXall
Kernel architecture: sun4u
Application architecture: sparc
Hardware provider: Sun_Microsystems
Kernel version: SunOS 5.9 Generic 118558-35 Oct 2006
It does not list any patches or packages required with this patch. What am I missing?
(Thanks for the help - I'm a beginner at this stuff!).

This is not the correct place to ask about patchadd - this forum is for patch manager and patchpro, however going by the output and your current kernel revision:
Checking installed patches...
Re-installing patch 112233-12...
One or more patch packages included in
112233-12 are not installed on this system.
Kernel version: SunOS 5.9 Generic 118558-35 Oct 2006
Patch 112233-12 is already installed on your system (as indicated by "Re-installing patch 112233-12..."); it is a requirement or dependancy of the existing kernel.
It is worth noting that kernel patch 118558-39 has been released and I would recommend that you upgrade to that.
Please ensure that you read the README files included with each patch as you may have extra configuration or further steps to perform including a reconfiguration reboot.
