My Netra T1 is still a black box
Hello again community!
I havent still been able to get a response from my Netra T1.
I have setup a connection
LOM--straight cable--converter--nullmodem--minicom
where converter is the right to left of the following:
DB9 PinRJ45 Pin
1 (DCD)no connect
2 (RX) 3 (TX)
3 (TX) 6 (RX)
4 (DTR)7 (DSR)
5 (GND)4 and 5 (GND)
6 (DSR)2 (DTR)
7 (RTS)8 (CTS)
8 (CTS)1 (RTS)
9 (RI) no connect
I am getting no carrier on minicom.
The only thing I can tell you is that the green lights inside the netra board are on, and the error orange (user-dependent) is flashing.
Can you hint me on how to procede if I want to get any signal out of it?
I call this machine the "Stealth", but maybe this is still too stealth for me!

Hello Matteo,
thank you for allowing us to assist you in fixing another of your systems !
Why did you re-register with a new nick ?
If you forgot the password for recupero_1, use the button to let them mail you the password. In case this old account (recupero_1) doesn't work anymore, add this information to your posting. There have been other users in past that re-registered with at least 3 nicks, due to problems to re-use their old account.
Using the Feedback Form for suggestion and reporting known issues isn't worth the effort. Except for an automated e-mail that doesn't even include the text of your feedback, nothing happens.
If you ask for help, how about assigning Duke Stars and indeed rewarding them ?
I am getting no carrier on minicom.
1 (DCD) no connect DCD = Data Carrier Detect pretty obvious !
Is this a know good/working setup (hardware and software) ?
Please re-read page 6-9 (of the User's Guide) ! Your cabling is wrong (hint: replace the null-modem cable with a straight cable).

Have you reviewed the troubleshooting section of the "Netra?T1 AC200 and DC200 Server User抯 Guide" ?

Thank you,
there were some issues on the system. Now if I log with the other account it redirects me on this one, so for now let's override this.
is this a know good/working setup (hardware and software) ?
Yes, this is the same as stated in the User Guide.
OK. I was checking both with null-modem and straight-cable, but neither worked.
Thank you for any help on this.

Hello,
LOM--straight cable--converter--nullmodem--minicom
> is this a know good/working setup (hardware and software) ?
Yes, this is the same as stated in the User Guide.
OK. I was checking both with null-modem and straight-cable, but neither worked.
Use a RJ45-DB9 adapter as stated in the User's Guide with a straight cable.
Netra T1 -- adapter -- straight cable -- other system
Check the communication settings of your terminal emulation.
Otherwise your Netra T1 is malfunctioning.
