A new begginer

Hi every bodi'm actually a beginner in Solaris , I am trying to be familier with sun solaris enviroment as administrator for the system. Any suggestion for reading for the first step for this new world ?Thanks

welcome to solaris! it's a fun place to be...

depending on your experience with other operating systems, you may want to look at a book called 'unix system administration handbook' by evi nemeth et al. or the recently updated 'linux system administration handbook' by the same group. both will provide a good general introduction to unix / linux.

if, however, you are looking for solaris specific reading, i would suggest http://docs.sun.com - the system administration collection. anything and everything you ever wanted to know about solaris. in pdf. for free.
