Keyboard Mapping

Hello all

I currently try to attach a ps2 keyboard (via usb2ps2-adapter) to a sun ray terminal. But there are a lot of dead keys such as less/greater, the dollar sign etc. When I try to load a custom keymap via xmodmap it brings always:

/usr/openwin/bin/xmodmap: /opt/app/etc/xmodmap/ibm_swiss_layout.kbd:229: bad keycode value (out of range).

-- and so on....

/usr/openwin/bin/xmodmap: 19 errors encountered, aborting

Can somebody describe me how to configure a custom keyboard on sun ray terminals and how this keymapping works under the sun xserver?

Many thanks

Hello is somebody out there? I really read all avialable documentation but its already a blackbox for me. I'm normally using linux, so the Solaris and also the Sun Ray environment is completely new to me. I would be thankful for any help. Just a hint where to search for it or wherethe keyboard commands go through until they appear on the screen to search for the problem.

Many thanks in advance

As you've already discovered, you'll probably get a faster response on the sunray-users mailing list than you will here.

People who don't already know about that mailing list can read about it (and join, if they wish) at http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
