kstat problem on Xeon machine

Hi

I have Solaris 10 6/06 installed on a dual xeon processor machine.

When I run netstat I can see that the tcpInorderBytes and other byte counts are updated ok.

But when I run kstat -p the obytes and rbytes counts do not change.

I see that same thing when I use nicstat - the packer count is updated but the read/write byte counts remain zero.

I have checked on a dual core x86 and this problem doesn't exist on that machine - the byte counts are updated fine - it's just on the xeon machine.

Does anyone have any ideas? I have no idea where to start.

Thanks

Gregor.

kstat fields are updated by the driver. What interface are you using? It's possible the driver doesn't bother to update them or has a bug of some sort.-- Darren
