SUN Solaris Monitor
Hi!
I'm very new to SUN Platform. I would like to check whether can i use a normal LCD used for x386 Desktop for SUN V240?
How about the mouse and keyboard? Is it compatible with those used in normal x386 desktop?
The KVM switch used by SUN V240, can it be used by a Windows Server?
Thanks.

you know this is a server, right? it is most likely very, VERY LOUD! it is not going to be a peecee... you are not going to play games on it... you will be lucky go buy a frame buffer that is 64meg...
other than that, it looks hot...
I have never seen one of these up-close-and-personal... but, it is a server.
so, what do you want to use it for, anyway? it most likely happiest run by command line...

yup i know it's a server, i'm listing the items to purchase for the vendors to quote with limited budget. So, things like monitor, mouse or keyboard, If it's normal IBM pc compatible device, i will not include that in.

then you will be connecting to it through the network or a serial cable.. no need for monitor, keyboard or mouse.
are you going to buy it brand-spanking new? then the boys in Sales should be able to answer most of your questions... these forums are just people helping people... with a few Sun employees that wander in once in a while...
