We are trying to run SGD on the new Cingular smartphone and are running into a little snag. I ended up getting it installed and can login however I cant run applications that when on the desktop client say "Integrates with your local window manager". Specifically I am trying to load the Netboss Event viewer. Is this type of application not compatible?
you can only use Independent Window Mode or New Window Mode for applications. So if you have an application configured for Client Window Management you will need to duplicate the object and change the DisplayUsing attribute. Also note that there are certain max sizes for application display.
In general you may have to create a different user or OU for these PocketPC apps so that when you login as that user the apps that are available on the webtop are appropriate. Read the Release Notes for the PocketPC client for more details.

Well, changing modes allowed the application to load, now the problem is that once in, it loads multiple windows (main bar, event viewer window, etc.) and you cant bring one in front of the other or resize them. Doesn't really appear to be any way to make it work correctly and after reading the release notes on how it treats all windows the same I don't have much of a better feeling.
