1.4.2_11 DST Compliant!?

Just finished a large scale rollout of 1.4.2_11 which had previously been listed as being DST compliant. In looking at the official SUN article today:

http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Intl/USDST/

It clearly states that 1.4.2_13 is the minimum level for DST compliance. Did a quick test with 1.4.2_11 and it appears compliant and isn't impacted by the bug listed in http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do;?bug_id=6530336 which is causing us a ton of stress today.

Any thoughts?

It looks like it may depend on your country. If you check:

http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Intl/USDST_Faq.html

under question 7 it states that _11 is the latest needed for the US (and others), and that _13 is listed as being needed for Canada. Question 24 seems to confirm _11 is adequate for USA.

You can reference the table in question 5 to see the time zone differences between _11 and _13 (and other builds as well).

Hope that helps!
