32 Bit Only Cool Stack Available?
It appears that Cool Stack (AMP) is only for 64 bit x86 processors. MySQL 5.x appears to be a 64 bit install from its' download name.
Is there a version of the AMP Cool Stack that runs on x86 32 Bit processors such as older Intel PIII's?
We are looking to install proof-of-concept Content Management Systems such as Joomla, Mambo, and Drupal.
F.Y.I. In doing a review of numerous non-windows options, Solaris had the best hardware support to allow us to extend the life of some older Intel ISP2150 servers.

Actually, other than the CSQmysql package, all other packages are built 32-bit and should work in your case. Unfortunately, the 32-bit mysql included in CSQamp for x86 was built primarily for client-side use and can't be used for the database server.
This issue is fixed in the upcoming release which will go out in a couple of days - so please wait until then.

Can you please update the status of when a pure 32-bit mysql database server download for the CSQamp for x86 stack will be available?
Without the 32-bit stack, we are unable to continue our testing or even consider porting over to Solaris. The pure 32-bit CSQamp for x86 stack is the key.
It has been well over the "couple of days" stated in your initial reply, now coming up on close to a month.

The 32-bit server has been available in Cool Stack 1.1. Please download and try it out. It is part of the CSKamp package. Everything in this package is 32-bit.Shanti

It still states that for a DATABASE SERVER to "download the CSKmysql 64 Bit Version." No mention of a 32 bit Database Server.
# CSKamp. This package includes Apache2, MySQL5 and PHP5 built to work together. The MySQL included in this package is a 32-bit version for client-side use to work with PHP. For the database server, install the CSKmysql package which is a 64-bit version, allowing the use of larger caches to deliver improved performance for large databases.
# CSKmysql. This package includes a 64bit version of MySQL5 and is built with innodb. See the README file in the mysql install directory for details.
And, on the download page, this may just be a typo, but the CoolStack 1.1 heading states:
"Solaris 10 OS, AMD x64 Platform - Optimized Open Source Software Stack (Cool Stack) 1.1"
No reference to generic Intel x86 or 32 Bit.
Please confirm and advise.

Great BUT:
On the download page, this may just be a typo, but the CoolStack 1.1 heading states:
"Solaris 10 OS, AMD x64 Platform - Optimized Open Source Software Stack (Cool Stack) 1.1"
No reference to generic Intel x86 or 32 Bit.
Again, it says AMD x64 NOT x86.
Please confirm and advise.
