Programatically Accessing Mail servers

Hi,i need to access mail servers like yahoo,Hot mail using java program?My task is rendering mail box into my machine thorugh program?Is there any JAVA API's?Please give me pointers?thanking you inadvance.
JavaMail, it is a part of J2EE but it is also vailable as an extra package.
