Sun Ultra 10 issue
Hello
I just got a Sun Ultra 10 from a friend of mine ( it was free) And i am trying to load solaris on it.
Since it takes IDE drives, i have tried many different IDE CD-ROM's and DVD-ROMs and i have had no luck. Everytime i try to install solaris (solaris 9 CD Download or Solaris 10 Cd download or Solaris 10 DVD from Sun's Media Kit) I get the following
"the file just loaded does not appear to be executable" I checked this on google, and it mentioned something about the boot block BUT see i cant even boot from CD so the HDD shouldnt have anything to do with this. To further test - i unplugged the HDD from the machine and still got the same issue. I even have replaced the IDE cables on the drives and had no luck.
The OBP i believe is 3.15 if this helps.
Anyone have any ideas? I would love to have this thing working asap
