Where is SUNWxcpu4
Hi:
I recently installed a solaris 10 sparc. I selected the "Entire Solaris Software Group" option and everthing went fine. Now I realized that SUNWxcpu4 was not installed. I looked at the installation CD #2 and I could see SUNWxcpu4 directory including the pkgmap file.So my questions are:
[1] Why SUNWxcpu4 was not installed to begin with.
[2] I can see the following directory in the CD: Solaris_10/Product/SUNWxcu4 including pkgmap and pkginfo files (4k bytes each).
Now when I do pkgadd, I kept getting the following error:
pkgadd: ERROR: no package associated with <SUNWxcu4>. If pkgadd is not the right command to do it, any other command to manually install this SUNWxcu4?
[3] If nothing works, any other way to install SUNWxcu4 from any other source?
Regards,
Jimmy

Don't know.

Where are you and what is your command? You are probably passing the wrong thing in -d. The argument is the package container, not the package itself (so the parent directory).
