Updatemanager fails with exit code 997

Updatemanager has been invoked on Solaris 10 hardware for the Sun Blade 100 and an Ultra-80 and patching no longer works. It has been reporting that these patches "122660-08", "120473-03", "124393-03" and "125116-01" fail with an exit code of 997. It mentions that the "patch is not available in the patch directory". I have tried this from 7:00am to 9:00am EDT.

Perhaps the patches are not loaded yet on the patch server? I don't think that our school has networking problems with the outside.

There is a GUSS outage at the momment which is related to the distribution of patches.

However please check you are able to connect to the following sites on port 443 :

getupdates1.sun.com - Main connection and authentication

a248.e.akamai.net - Akamai caching of patching and patchsets to allow

worldwide connections to be quicker

cns-services.sun.com - Used only during the registration process to actually

register the host

cns-transport.sun.com - Only used if the optional web feature is enabled on

the host. The host checks in to this address and downloads any "jobs" you may

have scheduled using the web portal.

www.sun.com - Used only once during the registration process only as a simple

test of the http proxy and network settings before connecting to

cns-services.sun.com to perform the registration process.

I cut to the chase and tried the patching at 9:45am EDT. It appears that I can load the patches with the successful status of "pending restart". Thanks for the prompt response. I tried it on a Sun Blade 100 and a V210.
