Thanks for the offer regarding the Duke Dollars !

Last December I had contacted two of the top contributors on the Java Forum.

Sad story. I was told that a single person (programmer) is in charge of the software (Jive Forums). Personnel and responsiblities changing every few month. Suggestions aren't acknowledged, the feedback form is useless. After spotting a security/privacy breach (every e-mail address visble, despite set to invisible in the profile!) one those contributors posted the e-mail adresses of the Sun employees participating in these forums. At that point there was a reaction!

Errors are denied, even if they are apparent and reported by independent people.

Remember the double-posting issue (and the conference call) on the former Support Forums a few years ago ?

Btw. did you notice the "silent" enhancement: In multi page threads the navigation bar (to switch between pages) has been duplicated at the bottom.

It's the least I could do.

I've read, and read, and read your many contributions over the years.

They've been of great help to me and to others.

... to this forum and to the previous (defunct) Hardware Forums.

Yes, they do seem to occasionally tweak the user interface.

I just wish there were some more active moderating, as the old forum had.

Such things as moving posts to the appropriate forum,

and summarily deleting dumb off-topic posts, such as pogo games and "give me a driver for my PC."

Anyhow, glad to be of help, even in my own small way.
