LARGE DATA TABLES

HEY I need help I am retrieving huge amounts of datatable rows.. and i have no idea how I can stop my application from crashing yet getting the information. I have pagination impleminted and use query.setBatchSize(100) but its still crashing for some reason? Any suggestions or good notes or webpages.. Ill continue searching Google but let me know if you guys have or know where i can get this info..
