required field control

Hello

I have a wizard based form app. The form contains required fields with attached validation.

I need to be able to turn off this validation, i.e. ignore it if the user presses a different button on the form.

Why do I need to do this?

...because the user wants to leave the wizard to do something else, but cannot because the required fields are empty.

What is the best approach to solve this?
