ldap in web proxy 4.0.3

hello

i am a new one for web proxy and ldap ,so i need huge help regarding this please

my problem is i cant configure ldap service , i tried much more times, every time error message came (could not bind ldap server with in binddn and password please check binddn and password)

i have some doubt also , proxy server itself have ldap server or required 3rd part ldap server's

please anybody give full configuration settings

so please help me
