general patch question

A few patch questions:

Is there a way to tell with the showrev/patchadd displays if a patch is specificaly a kernel patch? Is there a numbering scheme cheat sheet anywhere that gives some meaning to the patch numbering? This is for solaris 10

Does a kernel patch upgrade always show up in the rev line for uname -a?
