raising cpu offline alerts to major

Hi all,

I hope you can help with this. I have a situation where Sunfire 15k cpu offline alerts are being sent to SMC as a warning level alert. These get sent on using PrimeAlertNotification to another monitoring software but warning level alerts gets filtered out due to the number received.

This is a bit of a problem as we never get to see failed cpus!

Is there a way of increasing the level of the cpu offline alert from warning to major?

I am not so familiar with the config reader (15k) that you mention. But generally, in the console, there is a way to raise the alarm status (under Operational Status) to 3 (error) when the state of a CPU goes from OK to stopped etc.

Ur config reader module under Hardware->Devices->Processors should ideally have this setting as well. Or there could be some alternative present there. Worth a look certainly.
